This tour is designed for travelers who want to explore beyond the classic Ha Giang Loop and experience a longer adventure through mountains, rivers, ethnic villages and some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Vietnam.
The journey begins in Ha Giang, passing through Bac Sum Pass, Quan Ba Twin Mountains, Nam Dam Village, Lung Tam, Yen Minh, Tham Ma Pass and Lao Xa Village. From there, the route continues through the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, the Nho Que River, Meo Vac and Bao Lac, offering breathtaking views of limestone mountains, deep valleys and remote local communities.
The adventure then leads to Cao Bang, with highlights including Khau Coc Cha Pass, Lenin Stream and Pac Bo historical area before continuing toward the famous Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Northern Vietnam. After exploring Cao Bang, the journey continues to Ba Be Lake, a peaceful destination surrounded by mountains, forests and calm water scenery.
On the final day, guests will explore Ba Be Lake before returning to Hanoi, ending a memorable journey filled with mountain roads, cultural experiences, natural wonders and authentic local moments.

Our bus will pick you up at your current location before your Ha Giang trip begins.
We usually offer pick-up at hotels in the Old Quarter. For other locations, we will confirm the specific pick-up point with you 24 hours in advance.
Upon your arrival in Ha Giang, we will have prepared accommodation for you before you depart.Please note that this overnight accommodation is included in the tour price and is completely free; this is basic accommodation. If you would like to choose more luxurious accommodation, please contact our team and we will assist you in booking a suitable hotel at the most reasonable price. If you have already booked accommodation, please contact us and we will pick you up in the morning at your booked location.

Day 1Ha Giang - Lao Xa Village
Route: Ha Giang – Bac Xum Pass – Twin Mountains – Nam Dam Village – Lung Tam – Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass – Lao Xa Village (130 km)
On our first day, we'll begin with breathtaking mountain scenery along the Ha Giang route, visiting several local villages along the way and exploring their culture and way of life in the first evening.
Day 2Lao Xa Village – Bao Lac Town
Route: Lao Xa – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Bao Lac (110 km)
Experience the famous Happiness Road in Ha Giang, explore the Nho Que River, and travel to the new land of Cao Bang.
Day 3Bao Lac - Cao Bang City
Route: Lao Xa – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac – Bao Lac (110 km)
Explore the famous Khau Coc Cha pass, Le Nin Suoi, Ho Chi Minh Highway, and enjoy the local cuisine of Cao Bang.
Day 4Cao Bang City – Ban Gioc Waterfall

Day 6Explore Ba Be Lake – Return to Hanoi

After exploring Ba Be Lake by boat, we rested and waited for the bus to take us back to Hanoi, ending our trip here.
